Review for the entire series。 Excellent modern fantasy book series。 Enjoyable for all age groups。 My only complaint is the "Harry Potter Syndrome" Not specifically this books fault but I don't like the idea that Harry never works to be special。 He just is special。 Review for the entire series。 Excellent modern fantasy book series。 Enjoyable for all age groups。 My only complaint is the "Harry Potter Syndrome" Not specifically this books fault but I don't like the idea that Harry never works to be special。 He just is special。 。。。more

Other than the narrator seemingly forgetting how to pronounce words and names he had correctly produced in the last 4 books this was another great listen。

My favourite one of the series so far! The excitement at the end when the children break into the Ministry is palpable!! I love the rise of Neville too, I can already see the foreshadowing。。。The prophecy being the weapon too and Dumbledore revealing EVERYTHING to Harry and tying up so many loose ends was the perfect ending to the novel。 And that is bypassing Umbridge entirely。。。words cannot express how evil she is! Although I think that she is even more evil in the film。 Having said that, her banning Harry from Quidditch for life (which I guess is just removed immediately when Dumbledore returns to power?) is particularly cruel。 Dumbledore sacrificing himself for Harry, too - ugh it's just so good! I only wish that Sirius' fate could have been different :'(。 But, Fred and George's explosive exit into the sunset sure does make up for it :) 。。。more

Emotional BookI didn’t like this book 18 years ago, when I read it for the first and only time。 And everyone says it’s their least favorite book, and I thought I would dislike it as I read it again now。 However, I really enjoyed this book。 There were few dull moments, except for maybe the star card slow opening。This book seems much more about the emotions of the characters’ experiences than any of the other books。 Maybe J。K。 Rowling’s intent was to make this world intensely personal to us, becau Emotional BookI didn’t like this book 18 years ago, when I read it for the first and only time。 And everyone says it’s their least favorite book, and I thought I would dislike it as I read it again now。 However, I really enjoyed this book。 There were few dull moments, except for maybe the star card slow opening。This book seems much more about the emotions of the characters’ experiences than any of the other books。 Maybe J。K。 Rowling’s intent was to make this world intensely personal to us, because I think it worked。 The is familial love between Hagrid and his brother, the Longbottoms, Sirius and Harry, all the Weasleys, and the camaraderie of the Hogwarts faculty。 You feel intense frustration and hatred for Professor Umbridge and Bellatrix, and added conflicting emotions toward Harry’s father as a youth, Snape, Kreacher, and even for Dumbledore。 I would even add the conflict created toward the creed of the centaurs and the dismissal of Professor Trelawney。The emotions are drawn out very well, and nothing is as simple as once it may have seemed。 We, along with Harry, and seeing that the world is more complex than we initially assumed, and I really like what this book created beyond the surface。 。。。more

As a kid's book it is very good。It would move a young reader from a British boarding school drama to something a lot more complex。 The writing in the second half is a lot more dense than the first。Truly Dolores Umbridge is a wonderful character。 One that you love to hate。 I do hope there is a fan fiction writer somewhere detailing the further exploits of ' She who is Fun to Hate'。 As a kid's book it is very good。It would move a young reader from a British boarding school drama to something a lot more complex。 The writing in the second half is a lot more dense than the first。Truly Dolores Umbridge is a wonderful character。 One that you love to hate。 I do hope there is a fan fiction writer somewhere detailing the further exploits of ' She who is Fun to Hate'。 。。。more

I think the intelligence used to write this book is unmatched。 It's simply brilliant。 I am not a fan of J。K。 Rowling's endings, but other than that, she's always amazes me with great books! 💕 I think the intelligence used to write this book is unmatched。 It's simply brilliant。 I am not a fan of J。K。 Rowling's endings, but other than that, she's always amazes me with great books! 💕 。。。more

Another great installment in the series。 Harry is starting to have girl issues。 People are reluctant to listen to Harry and Dumbledore that Voldemort is back。 Sides are taken。 Harry learns more about his destiny and how he is linked with Voldemort。 We get Umbridge and the Ministry involved at Hogwarts。 So many things happening。

I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I did when I first read it。 I kinda hated how moody Harry was back then, but now being older I understand anyone's motivations better。 I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I did when I first read it。 I kinda hated how moody Harry was back then, but now being older I understand anyone's motivations better。 。。。more

This book was one of my favorites in the series。 It is long, but so worth the read。 Prepare to get your heart ripped out in the mist of magic and action。

Shira

One of the most beautiful endings I can ever recall reading。 After the characterization over the five years covered by the series to this point, the reader knows that Harry has accepted the challenge ahead。

Maria

This book is amazing, is such a vibe。 My favorite of all the saga。 I love it
